Jonathan Hempel is a human rights defender, anti-militarist and anti-apartheid activist. He is a researcher and educator focussing on Israeli militarism and the Israeli Military and Cyber Industry. Holding a M.A. in social-cultural studies from Viadrina University in Germany. Right now he is working as a researcher and project manager for AFSC in East-Jerusalem. He is one of the co-founders of the Database of Israeli Military and Security Export (DIMSE).
