Dr. Ishaq Sider is the Minister of Telecom & IT in Palestine since April 2019. He promotes the comprehensive use of IT in order to improve the standard of living & quality of life for the Palestinian people. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration (OSAR)-Ocarina. Dr. Sider occupied highly qualified academic positions such as Dean of College of Engineering & technology, Dean of Applied Professions College, at Palestine Polytechnic University. His main focus upgrading Telecom, IT Policies, Regulations, Technical issues and Institutional development.
Dr. Sider is a Head of Hebron Branch at General Secretary of Engineers Association, Member of the Central council of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) and a Consultant Member at Fateh organizaton.
