Muhammad Kamel Badarneh is a Palestinian photographer who lives and works in Haifa and Berlin. He has a BA in philosophy and history. He worked as a teacher and activist in human rights institutions. He started photography in 2008 and discovered the world of the camera through his travels. In 2012, he completed his studies of photography at the Art Institute in Haifa. Through his work, he presents visual tales about people’s concerns and the details of their lives. He works in the field of social photography by providing training courses to groups and conducting photography workshops in Palestine and the world based on photography and human rights education as tools for societal change. His work has been displayed in several theaters in Amman, Morocco, Berlin and the United Nations building in Geneva and New York. A collection of his work has been acquired by Darat al Funun in Amman, the International Labor Organization and private organizations. He works as a freelance photographer on projects for the United Nations and personal projects.
